Stress & Rescue

SSI Stress & Rescue Course pre-requisites requirement


  • SSI or other agencies certified open water diver

  • Medically and physically fit

  • Swimming proficiency test: Able to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes or more

  • 5 or more logged dives

Course Duration


  • Academic (approximately 4 hours)

  • Pool practical (approximately 6 hours)

  • Weekend trip approximately 3 Days 2 Night

SSI Stress & Rescue certification requirement 


  • 5 or more logged dives

  • Perform all required rescue skills underwater & surface

  • Certified CPR and First Aid from recognize training agencies

Completion of SSI Stress & Rescue course student would be able to


  • Detect stress from fellow divers and react accordingly

  • Rescue panic/stress divers safely

  • Able to achieve rescue skills on surface and underwater

  • Increase awareness of diving conditions

  • An entry requirement to SSI Dive professional course
